No! You do not. If you're 25 years or older and have a valid government issued drivers license you're licensed to drive Class A, B, and C recreational vehicles.
What is a class A RV?
Class A recreational vehicles are what you think of when you think of a rock-band traveling on tour! These are your largest and typically most luxurious recreational vehicles! These motorhomes are built using commercial truck or bus chassis and often times a diesel engine! The size of these RV's are anywhere from 26ft. to 45ft. long. The average length of a class A motorhome is around 34ft. These luxury motorhomes come fully equipped to sleep upwards of 12 people! They have slides that turn your campsite into a small home!

Driver Visibility and Spacious Seating
Driver visibility and comfortable seating is big deal when it comes to RV enthusiasts and their decisions when renting different models! With Class A RV's the cabs are set back into the motorhome, as opposed to the "cab" like driving area that is offered in our Class B and C RV's. Often time's in Class C RV's the cab overhead portion blocks drivers view and can sometimes be difficult to see what is beside you. The driver portion of Class A motorhomes is about the width of a truck, and the actual box of the driving area is significantly wider than that of other RV types. One thing many travelers consider before they embark on their trips is how far are they driving, and how comfortable does the driver want to be for the duration of the trip. If you're heading out towards California on a 2000+ mile excursion, you're probably going to want to be comfortable the entire time. That is a big reason why customers choose Class A over B and C models!
