Frequently Asked Questions!

Do I need a commercial drivers license to operate an recreational vehicle?

Nope! You only need a valid government issued drivers license to drive any type of recreational vehicle. Most rental agencies require renters to be 25+ years old to rent and drive, we fall into that category. There are some rental agencies that allow 21+ to rent a recreational vehicle.

What if my rental has mechanical issues while on the road?

When you embark on your trip of a lifetime with St. Louis RV Rentals, you have complimentary access to our 24/7/365 network of roadside assistance providers. When you've completed your paperwork, we will provide you with that phone number, and make sure to put it in your phone's contacts! This is one of the most frequent questions and concerns we get from our customers! We want you to be safe out there, and the last thing we want is a bad experience being stranded on the side of the road feeling helpless! We also provide the hotline # in the glovebox, and a variety of other locations throughout your motorhome!

What is the minimum age to drive an RV?

Per insurance regulations, we require all drivers to be at least 25+ years old in order to rent and operate one of our motorhomes.

No, all of our recreational vehicle rentals are smoke-free. You'll have to pull over to the side of the road and exit the motorhome if you need to smoke. If we detect smoking in the RV, you will be fined.

Do you allow one-way RV rentals?

Yes, upon request, we do allow one-way RV rentals. Rates for this service do vary based on distance and time of year in order to return the motorhome to its point of origin here in St. Louis. This will be pre-arranged with your rental agent prior to departing on your trip!

Am I able to leave my personal vehicle on your RV Rental lot?

Yes, as a matter of fact you're actually allocated 2 personal parking spots at our facility when you rent with us! Making it easier for the whole family to pack up in two vehicles, and depart directly from our facility!

Yes, you are able to rent one of our motorhomes in the winter! If it's during the winter months, and adventure comes calling you're more than welcome to rent one of our motorhomes. What additional things to I need to bring for my trip? What items/amenities are included?

All of our RV's come with what was included in the motorhome when it was delivered directly from the factory. You will need to provide your own linens, kitchen items you wish to use, chairs, tables, etc... You're more than welcome to rent those items from us, but we encourage most of our renters to bring their own if they have them! We also are more than welcome to take special requests, at the right price! If you want an inflatable swimming pool to be provided? We can do it, it will just be more cost effective for you to bring your own.

Most personal auto polices that our customers have in place, will cover them for auto liability claims when out on the open road. We would advise you checking with your personal auto agent to confirm. We will need proof of insurance on file before you depart. As far as comprehensive and collision damage to the vehicle, we have small polices that are included in your rental agreement that will be put in place. We also have auto liability included if your personal auto policy doesn't already include coverage.
